My name is Yukio Ura, founder of My Amethyst Japan, a Japan-based business that introduces carefully selected international brands to customers in Japan.

Before starting this business, I worked as a public school teacher in Japan for more than 30 years, mainly in the field of special needs education.

Through this experience, I learned the importance of understanding individual needs and improving people's quality of life.

During my work in education, I saw how thoughtfully designed products — including educational tools and supportive everyday items — could make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

I also became interested in how carefully selected products and daily lifestyle choices can positively affect people’s well-being.

Based on these experiences, I now focus on introducing high-quality international brands to customers in Japan and building long-term relationships with brands that share similar values.
